  I don't live in Louisiana, nor have i ever been to this shelter, but if you look into a group on fb called Paws 4 life, they seem to be a fine organization that teamed up with this shelter. They are "Dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in Caddo Parish by facilitating partnerships with rescue groups & helping educate our community." The sexual act against an animal affiliated with Caddo Parish is highly unfortunate and could really happen anywhere. Crazy people lurk behind normal faces. You don't know how crazy they are until they act out. Hopefully this shelter is caring for the animals properly. There is a volunteer group helping them out. Sounds like they need ALL the help they can get.

  I just called the animal control about a raccoon/opossum in the attic. Reply: "1 Sir, we don't set traps on Friday. 2 Since it is in your attic, we don't go inside and set traps there. 3. You will need to go to a hardware store to purchase a trap. 4 Once you catch the animal YOU will need to bring it to the shelter." My tax dollars at work! I am surprised they answered the phone.

  I got my absolute bestfriend from here, a 8 week old catahoula pup, but when we picked her up, she was beyond malnourished. She could barely walk because she was in the kennel 24/7. They also didn't mention she was pooping mucus and blood. They take horrible care of their animals, and the staff is beyond rude. I'm lucky that my little Bella has grown to be a big strong dog, but it took a lot of work to get her as healthy as she needed to be because of the lack of care they gave her there.
